Everything you need for your trip to Kavala – information, restaurants, and transport in one place.

Before you leave for Kavala

This part of the site is for the practical things – the ones guests ask me before they’ve even arrived: how to get there, where to park, where to eat and what to do if something goes wrong. I’ve split it into four so you don’t have to dig.

Four questions I hear most often

🅿️Where do I park in the centre?Street parking is hard to find. The paid car parks are the calmest option – details are in “Parking in Kavala”.
🚌Can I manage without a car?In town, yes. City buses reach Kalamitsa, Batis and Perigiali beaches; a ticket is cheaper from a ticket office or machine than from the driver.
🍽️How much should I budget for dinner? In the tavernas I go to, the bill comes to around €15–20 per person.
🚑What do I do in an emergency? The emergency number is 112, as everywhere in Europe. The rest is in “Medical Assistance and Pharmacies”.
