Who we are

Last updated: 21.10.2026

This privacy policy explains how the website kavalagreece.com (“the site”, “we”) uses cookies and how we protect the privacy of our visitors.

We are a small group of people who created this site to provide useful information for tourists visiting Kavala, Greece.

Data controller: Todor Kostadinov, email: info@kavalagreece.com.

What data we collect

The site does not require registration. We only receive personal data if you send it to us yourself through one of the forms or directly:

  • Contact form: name, email, subject and message.
  • Apartment enquiry form: the apartment you are asking about, name, phone/Viber, arrival and departure dates, number of adults and children, the children’s ages and a message.
  • Viber, email and Facebook: whatever you send us in your message.

We do not ask for or collect payment details, identity documents or other sensitive information. Please do not send them through the forms.

What we use it for

  • To reply to your question or enquiry.
  • For apartment enquiries – to check availability and contact you by phone or Viber. If the apartment is managed by another host, we may pass your enquiry on to them solely so that they can reply to you.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it and we do not share it with anyone beyond what is described above. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box in the form, and the steps we take at your request before a possible booking.

How long we keep it

We delete emails, phone numbers and messages as soon as our communication with you has ended. We do not keep them for future offers or advertising. If a booking is made, the data needed for the stay is kept only for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us at info@kavalagreece.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country – in Bulgaria this is the Commission for Personal Data Protection, and in Greece the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

Cookies

The site uses cookies to improve the visitor experience and to understand how the site is used. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit the site.

On your first visit, you will see a banner that informs you about the use of cookies and allows you to:

Accept all cookies; Accept only necessary cookies; Review and customize your settings; Reject non-essential cookies

You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings available in the site’s footer.

Some pages on the site contain links to partners for accommodation, car rentals, ferries, and tours (e.g. Booking.com, DiscoverCars, Ferryhopper, GetYourGuide, Viator — via Travelpayouts). When you click such a link and make a subsequent booking, the respective partner sets a cookie on its own domain to attribute the booking to us. We do not store this cookie on our server. Duration: between 24 hours and 365 days, depending on the partner.

Advertising & Google

The website kavalagreece.com displays ads through the Google AdSense service. For this purpose, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

Google may collect and process data about your visits to measure ad performance and personalize the content you see. You can find out more about how Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps here: How Google uses data when you use sites or apps of our partners.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are visited most often and where visitors come from. Google Analytics also uses cookies that collect anonymized statistical information. This data helps us improve the content and structure of the site.

You can manage or opt out of personalized ads and analytics cookies at any time through: Google’s ad settings at adssettings.google.com; the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; or the cookie settings in the banner at the bottom of the site (see the “Cookies” section above).

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the site’s functionality (e.g. adding a contact form, email subscription, or affiliate programs). In case of significant changes, we will update the date above.
